Kuwait Airport to increase capacity to 20 million passengers
Minister of Public Works signed on Thursday the 4th of March 2010 an agreement to expand the capacity of Kuwait’s International Airport from the current 7 million passengers to 20 million passengers a year with a total cost of KD 27 million, and will take 5 years to complete the construction work. The authority plans to add a new runway to the two existing runways. The plan also envisages building a cargo city which will be the largest of its kind in the Middle East.
